ABOUT SMYRNA

Smyrna, Tennessee is located about 30 minutes southeast of Nashville in Rutherford County. Named by US News and World Report as one of the best places to retire, Smyrna is one of the most family-friendly places to reside in Middle Tennessee.

Smyrna is home to the Nissan Motors manufacturing plant which produces 640,000 vehicles annually and employs over 8,000 people, and the Smyrna Airport, where Middle Tennessee State University offers classes for flight instruction. This city provides plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities as it features more than 10 parks, seven miles of greenway trails, and Percy Priest Lake.

Smyrna is a part of the Rutherford County School system, which is ranked top 10 in the state. Smyrna is also home to one of the Motlow Stage Community College Campuses that educates over 2,000 students.

You can find whatever you need in Smyrna with shopping plazas like Colonial Town Park and The Shoppes of Lee’s Village. Satisfy your hunger with unique restaurants like Omni Hut, Hickory Falls, La Tavola, and Toot’s.
