Top Fall Flavors

Call us biased, but we believe the majesty of autumn in Tennessee is truly unparalleled. Our state’s gorgeous foliage along with dropping temperatures make this the perfect time to get outside and enjoy nature, while cool evenings provide the ideal chance to curl up with a beverage bursting with fall flavors.

Today, Parks is sharing our top 10 autumn beverages! While fall parties may have to be postponed until next year, there’s no need to wait to indulge in these crowd-pleasing punches, ciders, and smoothies.

1.) Classic Spanish Sangria

Don’t let the smooth, complex flavors of this classic sangria fool you—this recipe packs a wallop! Orange, lime, and lemon round out the base of rum and dry red wine, and the results are delectable.

2.) Mulled Cranberry Cider

This fall-centric spin on mulled wine is non-alcoholic, yet complex enough to keep adult palates captivated. Cranberries aren’t just for the Thanksgiving table anymore! Set this up in your slow cooker early in the day and enjoy it that chilly night.

3.) Slow Cooker Chai Tea

Real chai is only as delicious as the spices you include, which is why this authentic recipe calls for whole spices and fresh ginger. Set aside 8 hours for the spices to fully infuse. Parks recommends using whole black tea leaves for maximum flavor.

4.) Kid-Friendly ButterBeer

Whether your kiddo is a Harry Potter fan or you’re simply searching for a wildly delicious recipe to expand your fall repertoire, you just can’t go wrong with this perfect butterbeer. Spices mingle with butterscotch, cream, butter, and cream soda, so leave plenty of room for this rich treat.

5.) Leftover Candy Hot Chocolate

This year there likely won’t be the usual Trick-or-Treat festivities, but you should still pick up a bag of Halloween candy—if only so you can make this indulgent, lightly spiced hot cocoa! If you want to add even more autumn flavor, sprinkle in some powdered ginger.

6.)Pecan Pie Martini

Instead of sitting idly by and mourning the loss of your favorite fall party--make this party in a glass instead! As pretty as they are delicious, you’ll be making these martinis for your friends and family for years to come. Rumchata, creme de cocoa, and bourbon mingle with a list of holiday favorites in this fresh take on classic delights.

7.) Apple Pie Sparklers

Written to make just 3 glasses, this festive, flavorful sparkler recipe calls for Moscato, sparkling cider, and vanilla vodka—and that’s just the base! While it’s perfect for a quiet night with family, we think you’ll want to scale up this tasty blend for next year’s festivities.

8.) Non-Alcoholic Fall Party Punch

Originally created to welcome a new baby, this celebratory punch can be made with apple, ginger, and pineapple—or, consider swapping out one flavor for pear juice, and you’ve got yet another take on virgin party punch! This tasty treat can be whipped together in minutes and keeps perfectly in the refrigerator.

9.) Wassail

In days of yore, wassailing in the West of England was a celebration of the plentiful apple harvest and the delicious ciders that followed. This recipe is therefore centered around apples, but spices, oranges, ale, and madeira join in to make this a truly festive drink. While it’s often consumed in December, we think this classic wassail recipe is best enjoyed as often as possible during both fall and winter.

10.) Pumpkin Cheesecake Smoothie

Whether you’re trying to get a nutritious breakfast into your children before they settle in for distance learning, or just trying to pack in the protein before the days of rich holiday feasting, this pumpkin cheesecake smoothie is perfect! Healthy, affordable, and quick, this delicious recipe still tastes like an indulgent treat. (Pro tip: to clean your blender with ease, combine piping hot water and a drizzle of dish soap, then give them a quick whir. Presto! You’re ready to rinse and set for another smoothie experience.)
